NCC Receives Tangible Disaster-response from IAD
POSTED: 17 Nov 2017
Relief supplies from the Inter American Division (IAD) of Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) were a welcome addition to the support being received by the North Caribbean Conference (NCC). Top church leaders want to ensure that church members and workers displaced by recent hurricanes receive help quickly. “Members must know that the highest level of the church cares about them and that the church is taking action to demonstrate that care,” commented
A container of supplies that included tarps, generators, water, food and other items were shipped to the NCC headquarters from the IAD office in Miami, Florida. “We are grateful for the support for our Conference,” said President of the NCC, Pastor Desmond James, “It really helps. It's great that they're here doing this. This allows us all to come together.”
We know there are basic needs out there for our church members and the people in the NCC,” said Pastor Israel Leito, President of the Church in Inter-America, to Pastor Desmond James, “We are concerned for them and want them to know that they have not been forgotten for we have been praying for them daily.”
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the North Caribbean Conference was severely battered
The NCC is grateful for the outpouring of prayers and support from the Seventh-day Adventist community around the world.
